Royal Roads University Teaching and Research

Summer 2024 – Teaching two online blended courses for Royal Roads University. LRNT527 – Creating Digital Resources, an open access WordPress content course with Moodle support for private details (e.g., learner assignments). This course is one of the Master of Arts in Learning and Technology (MALAT) program courses. IDSN520 – Instructional Design for Technology-Enhanced Learning, a closed-content Moodle-based online asynchronous course. This course is part of the Graduate Certificate in Instructional Design (GCID) program.

June 2024 – Research Project: Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence Tools for Digital Learning Design related to Royal Roads University teaching. Partnering with participants in the LRNT527 and IDSN520 courses to learn more about their interest and use of generative AI tools for instructional design as part of their course assessments. Anticpated article publication September – November 2024.

University of Toronto – OISE Continuing and Professional Learning – Associate

January 2024 – Present. Working with OISE CPL on a project with University of Rwanda College of Education. Supporting and facilitating new learning with a group of 20+ faculty champions and 200+ academic staff at the College of Education on the design and delivery of competency-based education (CBE).

St. Lawrence College – Instructional Designer

April 2024 – Present. St. Lawrence College is a lead partner in the creation of 50+ Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) courses for fully online delivery. The purpose of this project is to accelerate and create further access to the BScN degree at Ontario Colleges for any interested nursing students. Working with an amazing team of nursing professors, administrators, and support staff as well as a project team of instructional designers and media developers from across the province.
